About Us

John and Holly met in May of 2006, but John doesn’t remember meeting Holly at that time. You see Holly had traveled up to Utah State to go to SOAR (the new student orientation at USU). Holly was put into a small group led by John, where he taught her all about University policies and procedures. Holly had a hard time paying attention because of John’s beautiful blue eyes and dazzling smile. John just thought Holly was another face in the group.

Well time went  on and in October of that year Holly saw an advertisement for an A-Team (the people who lead SOAR) position that was available. The advertisement had a picture of John on it. Her friend Amy nudged her into picking up an application, Holly thought it wasn’t a bad idea, since she might be able to get to know that good looking boy better. She applied and got the job but John was no longer working for that office. Dang. Well luckily for Holly, John still worked with the SOAR office so they slowly got to know each other. Over the years Holly told herself to get over John because he was never going to look her way. Then something changed.

In the beginning of 2009, John saw Holly in the student center and thought to himself, “Hmmm… Holly… She’s pretty  cute!” And finally after working up the courage John Reynolds asked Holly Williams out …well  sort of. They made plans to do something fun over spring break since they both had no plans. Then on March 10, 2009   John and Holly started their courtship by watching the movie “Australia” and eating peanut butter cookies, the next day they went  to Riverdale and their story goes from there. Life was so good for John and Holly at this time. They dated on and off, but mostly on for the next year.

On March 2, 2010 in the place where they first met (the steps in front of the University Inn, in case you were wondering) John asked Holly if she would be his wife. She said yes. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Temple on May 11, 2010 – nearly four years after their first meeting. Some might say that love just happens between two compatible people. However, everything worked out perfectly as their lives came together in just the right way. This may sound cheesy but we (John and Holly) were without a doubt meant to be. :)
